Science, Action, and Storytelling

Restoring the Planet’s Living Systems

Ecological Restoration Is Climate Repair

Water, clouds, and life form Earth’s true climate control system.

And biology—not physics alone—is key to understanding how climate works and how we can help it regain stability.

The interactions among ecosystems—in the air, land, and sea—evolved to regulate the planet’s climate. As those living systems deteriorate, Earth’s natural climate control breaks down. Restoring it has little to do with fossil fuels versus solar panels—and everything to do with helping the biosphere heal.

Action for Change

ERA identifies leverage points—places where focused restoration can tip larger systems toward healing—and mobilizes resources to make that happen. We bridge financers, philanthropies, and communities, directing regenerative capital where it matters most. Our work connects Indigenous and local partners with funders and scientists to co-design programs that “multisolve” ecological, social, and economic challenges.

Strategic Interventions for Global Ecological Impact

Science for Insight

ERA’s members—scientists, ecologists, and regenerative practitioners—collaborate through action research to validate what works and why. We advance next-generation metrics that go beyond carbon sequestered or hectares restored, measuring biodiversity, water retention, resilience, and local weather modulation. These metrics build credibility and trust, turning data into insight for funders and policymakers.

Storytelling for Inspiration

Storytelling is how ERA translates science into inspiration. With over 400 stories, films, and reports already curated, our Stories of Impact collection turns field research into compelling narratives that inform and motivate action. Through awards, multimedia, and a searchable AI Eco-Oracle, ERA shares real-world lessons from the front lines of regeneration—reminding us that restoring nature is restoring ourselves.

A Global Alliance for Planetary Healing

A Global Alliance

ERA is a global network of scientists, Indigenous leaders, regenerative farmers, innovators, and communicators working together to heal the living planet. It is not a financer but a bridge and translator—a trusted interface between projects and capital, research and storytelling, local wisdom and global action.

Our members share a conviction that systemic healing is possible when we act together— combining evidence, creativity, and compassion to rebalance Earth’s climate-control system.

ARARA

ARARA is a climate finance platform designed to channel capital directly into verified forest protection and restoration efforts across the Amazon, ensuring transparency, accountability, and measurable climate and biodiversity impact at scale.

Nakivale Refugee Regenerators

ERA members in Nakivale Refugee Settlement—many of them refugees themselves—are restoring soil and water while improving quality of life through regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, and education.

Panama Restoration Lab

The Panama Restoration Lab is a regional hub for nature-based solutions, restoring the Panama Canal watershed through science, innovation, and community engagement, aiming to enhance resilience and scale ecological restoration globally.
